50 Year Old Indonesian Masters champion Getting Faster Every Year

“Times are improving every year, although I am getting older!”

Excellent hurdle form. Age group 50-54.

Hi Dr. Larry, please find the attached photographs showing my 100m hurdle results.

Each file’s name shows the date and the timing record of my race. Usually the Thai Open is held in March each year, while Sing Open is in April. You can see that my timing was improving in every year, although I am getting older… The guy who beat me in the Thai Open was the 2012 Asia Champion for 100 m hurdle in Mens 50-54 age category.

My target is to beat him in the next Asia Masters Championships held in Japan on September… I have been practicing the isometric training since early August 2012. I stopped the training when I was injured (left hamstring) in Oct 2013, and needed a month to recover (only swimming slowly) and another month to resume the isometric training (start from Jan 2014).

I have been practicing using the ‘gold’ resistance band; I have bought 5 pieces of bands… I have many bands (2 red, 2 green, 2 blue, 2 black, silver and gold)… normally one band will be broken after 2-3 months training, with frequency: 2-3 times isometric training in a week and 3-4 times training in the track (speed & endurance) in a week. Thanks & regards…

Catch him if you can!
